The 13th Moon~

13th moon

Last night was the thirteenth moon which was also called ‘kuri-meigetsu (chestnut moon) in Japan. I had my first wonderful experience of looking up the moon through an astronomical telescope in the Hyakkaen garden. I could see the sea in the moon and lots of craters on her surface. It strongly reminded me the reality of her existence in the far distance from our earth. Flowers and trees were shining bright in the moonlight with the chirping of cricket. It was a sacred quietness and everything on that night was a very exciting experience for me.  13th moon
